Abstract:
This research aims to understand, from a sociological approach, the way in which SENAI, as an institution dedicated to professional qualification and business advices, acted and is acting in Pólo de Confecções de Pernambuco (Northeastern, Brazil), particularly in the cities of Santa Cruz do Capibaribe and Caruaru, taking into account the relationships and working conditions that characterize them, strongly marked by informality and precariousness. The theme is related to new situations and references made by the changing in the labor world underway globally and its implications in a local space of peripheral character like the one that stands the Pole. It seeks to highlight the conditions,
contradictions and implications raised in this particular experiment. From the methodological perspective of view seeks to contemplate another of objective and subjective dimensions (structures, processes, practices and representations) of social dynamics more directly involved in these efforts. This is a qualitative research study to be used, among others, the combination of the following instruments: direct observation procedure (spaces, environments, equipment, activities), document analysis (involving technical documents, and educational institutions, national and local referred to SENAI) and interviews with administrators, teachers and former students of the two units operating in SENAI Pole.
