Resumo:
This project has as its theme the mourners of St. Helena-PB in the second half of the
twentieth century, where their religious healing practices throughout the second half of
the twentieth century. present themselves as cultural tradition in daily life and social life
of the communities where being entered as healers. These healing practices has been
placed as the focus of actions and actions against diseases and illnesses. Understanding
the mechanism and significance of these religious practices are presented as a path to
understanding the cultural history and the role that religion occupies in this social
context. The research will be developed through interviews, testimonies and life story
with the mourners and users of their practices. Another area of research is the literature
of this subject available.
