Resumo:
The study developed in an analytic approach o f temporality, deal o f the characteristics and
dynamics of the reproduction of the peasant condition o f familiar groups that had their
ownerships converting in agrarian reform settling in the middle Sao Francisco, west region o f the
Bahia State. These groups when install by a large time in a determined ground and developed
sociability and mutual wise whereas norms and rules for its access, use and its stay, constitute
territorial patrimonies based through notions of right duty defined, especially, in genealogical
groupal memory and in social values particularized in customer right duty. Starting of the
"ownership" and "settled" classes, we tackle continuities and discontinuities processes in this
turn. Such processes reveal that the right duty notions that make references to their old practices
of ownership and use o f the earth are recreated in manner to incorporate the occurred changes in
consequence o f the settling creation and, by other, opposing to the same, by they one be
considered like a subordination condition, since that they have taken definitive changes in their life
manner - their habitus - historically consolidate. The analysis allows to formulate the conclusion
that, in the condition o f settled, these little agriculturists search to reupdate their peasant identity
in a restrict space and defined by the agricultural politics o f the federal government.
