Resumo:
In 1931 Jorge Amado show to national letters the book O país do carnaval, receiving dense repercussion of literary criticism of the time the young baiano takes over a pride of place in brazilian literary. Over the 30th decade his political positions, with a large literary and jornalistic production, designs an effective consecration to his intellectual trajectory. This work seeks to reflect over some aspects that have marked the literary and intellectual production of Jorge Amado over the mencioned decade, but, other methodological way that denies the cristalization on the use of the sources is realized. Thereby, its search out to reflect and to problematize historically about the memories constructed by and for Jorge Amado over his career emphazing, initially, how the author, in his first moments of literary acting, has judged the intellectual function. In this way, are utilized not only the literary texts produced by the author, but also, papers and criticism, wroted by various agents of intellectual field and publisheds in carioca newspapers, moreover, there is relative effort to dialogue with different interlocutors of the amadiana work, in order to produce a reflexive debate over plastered definitions for the author and his work.
