Abstract

The study aims to investigate the methodologies used by pre-school teachers to work ethical-racial relations in school. Besides an analysis of the institutional documents in order to observe how the ethical-racial issues are inserted in the school, I try to understand the perception of the teachers of the children's education on the ethical-racial issues in the school space. The locus chosen for research was a kindergarten and elementary school I in the city of Pombal-PB in the Paraíba hinterland. The study consists of a qualitative research through the realization of a semistructured interview with three teachers of early childhood education. The study revealed that in order to have an effective implementation of the law 10,639 \ 0 it is necessary to clarify more about it, more knowledge, intension and interest of educators in the transmission of ethnic-racial issues in education, since this knowledge about the Our cultures and respect for diversity must begin at an early age in the small for the formation of a society prepared for diversity. Besides, after all the clarifications and knowledge acquired by the teachers, it is necessary to revise their methodologies, seeking to direct them to these questions of ethnicity, race, respect, gender, among others.
