Résumé:
The present work demonstrates an analysis about the practice of research, the main scientific tool of the Social Sciences, that appear in the curriculum of Brazilian high school included in the discipline of Sociology, field of delimitation chosen for this analysis. The survey was carried out through a questionnaire applied to the teachers of the subject in public schools, in the municipalities of Serra Branca and Sumé - Paraíba. The work includes some regulatory frameworks such as the National Curricular Parameters, Curricular Guidelines for High School, the National Curricular Common Base. In addition to authors such as teachers Pedro Demo, Amurabi Oliveira, Paulo Freire, among others. The objective of this work is to make an exploratory survey of the perspective on the practice of research as a pedagogical tool of teaching in the discipline of Sociology in high school, in its various relevant aspects and implications. The guiding question is: What is the relevance of the research and its applications in high school, specifically in the Paraíba cariri scenario? An analysis of the didactic book Sociology in Motion was also developed, a book used by the interviewees in their Sociology classes. Therefore, from a theoretical survey of the subject with the regulatory frameworks, recognized theorists of the area, the analysis of the didactic book used in the delimited field of the research, a questionnaire was then applied to the teachers of the respective cities. Through this material, a reflection on the practice of the research in the mentioned municipalities of western Cariri Paraibano was undertaken and with that some aspects between the theory and the practice in the studied area were evidenced, like the types of research that are used, the conception of respondents in relation to the research, its relevance and difficulties faced for its application.
