Abstract:
The aim of this work is to present the socioeconomic profile of the alumni of the Social
Sciences Degree Course at Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG) at the Center of Sustainable Development (CDSA), Sumé - PB, tracing the insertion and academic path, postgraduation, and market insertion. Seeking to analyze through the application of questionnaire and interviews the various paths covered for the choice, permanence and conclusion of the course. It also seeks to understand the process of insertion in the labor market through employability, having as the period understood for the analysis the years from 2013 to 2017. The emphasis in this period is due to the fact that it was from this context that the first classes were created since the implementation of the Campus in 2009. The survey looks at the relationship between the number of alumni and the number of those who were able to enter the labor market through the training area. National researches indicate a large percentage of professionals working outside the training area. Results indicate that the alumni are satisfied with the course choice, showing that the university was assertive about its implementation, but there are criticisms regarding dialogue/links between the university, alumni and the labor market, also points out the lack of opportunities as the greatest difficulty encountered after the alumni graduation.
