This paper examines how gender inequality and violence against women are discussed Sociology textbooks six passed the PNLD 2015, Program Nacional the Book didacticwho are they: Sociology for high school, Modern Times, Times of Sociology, Sociology, Sociology on the move, Sociology Today, Sociology for young people of the 21st century. Sought to find several concepts present in this category of analysis so that the correlation between gender inequality, violence against woman and the Textbook of Sociology offer a comprehensive framework to be parsed in a sociological research, as is the case of this research that we set out to achieve since the textbook is an important instrument in the room for the teacher, and also can be a formidable ally in deconstruction and denaturalization of gender inequality and violence against women in society. So, we get the reflection of the concepts developed as a category of analysis in textbooks, of which aspects are more present, as gender identity, rights, violence, the labuor market, the issue of denaturalization, Patriarchy e biological versus social construction. Starting from the premise that work related content gender equality and violence against women in Sociology classes is essential for the deconstruction of the visions and sexist actions that occur on a daily basis.
