Abstract:
The present study had as object of study the analysis of the challenges and perspectives of the
students of the Pedagogy course of the Federal University of Campina Grande, aiming to
answer the following problematizing question: what are the main challenges faced by female
students of the Pedagogy Course during the course ? Are these challenges a reflection of the
gender condition? For this, it had as objectives to identify the challenges and the perspectives
of the female students of the course of Pedagogy of the CFP / UFCG; to ascertain the
intervening factors that the students face to take the course of pedagogy; understand the
challenges that exist during the course; and analyze what perspectives the students have with
the conclusion of the course. To meet these objectives, a descriptive exploratory qualitative
study was carried out with students from the penultimate period of the Pedagogy Course of
the Federal University of Campina Grande, in which a sociodemographic questionnaire, a
semi-structured interview and the TALP were applied. In the midst of all the process of
recognition and better appreciation of women in society, the students interviewed
demonstrated, from their lines, a social context with a lot of inequality and gender bias,
presenting as main difficulties the perspective of the double working day associated with
academic life, as well as the responsibility of the home and children. Having its prospects
based on a position with greater appreciation idealizing a public tender in the hope of its
autonomy and emporedamento. The system is thus perceived, although it has undergone
changes and shown advances in inequalities and guarantees of law, society maintains the
patriarchy.
