Résumé:
This monographic work has as object of study the operation procedure of the
Pedagogical Coordinator with the overall objective to analyze the daily practice of this
professional in the school environment. For this purpose, the specific objectives are:
to identify the functions that are developed by the Pedagogical Coordinator in their
working environment; demarcate the role of CP in the school context and point out
emerging issues in the professional exercise of the Pedagogical Coordinator in the
school. The methodology used is part of a qualitative, exploratory and descriptive
research approach. The data were collected through interviews with 4 (four) Teacher-
Pedagogical-Coordinators, who work in 3 (three) public basic education schools,
located in the city of Sousa-PB. For the analysis of the data, the techniques of
Content Analysis (CA) were used. The research pointed out the functions developed
by Teacher-Pedagogical-Coordinators in schools and signaled that these
professionals have not yet carry out their primary function as a matter of priority,
which is the training and follow-up of teachers in school, and who are involved in
bureaucratic, disciplinary issues, among other functions being overloaded and not
having as a priority a better training of teachers for better results in the teaching-
learning processes.
