Résumé:
With the diversity that exists in Brazilian society and the increase in cases of violence -
whether it is verbal or physical - especially at school, it became necessary to go deeper into
the Bullying Phenomenon since it is a topic that needs "special attention" because it has
spread quickly and often silently. Symbolic violence is expressed in the legitimized and
disguised imposition with the interiorization of the dominant culture reproducing this act as
something natural and inevitable. It is known that bullying causes harmful effects on the
social and school life of the student, as well as it reflects in the teaching-learning process. In
this way, this work aims to understand how bullying is capable of affecting individuals,
analyzing their reflexes and effects on the students' school and social trajectory. This paper
was developed from a sample study analyzed with methodological paths that attend to the
character of a case study and qualitative research, which analyzed the social experiences of an
educational nature, based on the answers obtained by questionnaires applied in a classroom.
The field research has used, as data collection tool, open and closed questions to detect forms
of violence at school and how they influence students' lives. Based on the results, it was
possible to detect that it is extremely necessary to reflect intensively on the Bullying topic, so
that it can be promoted a greater understanding of the subject, and a greater combat of this
phenomenon in society, especially in the school environment, so that its harmful effects do
not end up destroying or devastating the student’s integrity, school trajectory, and social life.
The Bullying - this silent violence - seems to be harmless or just a joke, but that in reality, the
individual who suffers from it in silence any time can show signs of exhaustion and react
bringing serious consequences that may even become irreversible of those affected by it.
