Resumen:
In recent years, students' indiscipline in the classroom has been thematized, investigated and
associated by the educators to the rebelliousness of the students and the lack of commitment
of the parents in supporting the process of teaching and learning of their children, according
to the educational subjects the indiscipline Has hindered the work of the educator in the
process of teaching and learning, as well as has impaired teacher-student relations. The study
in question seeks to address the teachers' conceptions about the indiscipline in the classroom,
considering the need to understand the existing conflicts in the school space. We sought to
bring to light the understanding and representations of elementary school teachers about
school indiscipline, we also reflected on the causes and consequences attributed to
indiscipline, this research work had as main objectives: To understand how teachers
represent school indiscipline; Investigate what kinds of consequences are attributed to school
indiscipline; Investigate what practices teachers develop to deal with indiscipline;
Understand the anchoring of the representation of the investigated group and how these
representations are objectified. The chosen environment for the investigation was the
Municipal School of Fundamental Education Poet Bellarmine of France, located in the
neighborhood Cavalhadas in the city of Pombal, Paraíba sertão. The monograph is anchored
in the theoretical production produced on this subject, Vasconcelos (2009), Rosenberg
(2008) among others, and through field research of the descriptive type in a qualitative
approach, seeks to provide answers to the objectives raised in the work. The instrumental
part for the accomplishment of the data collection was the semistructured interviews applied
to the four teachers. The result is the revelation of some problems that indiscipline puts inside
the school, and the effort of teachers in order to overcome adversity, seeking to ensure the
learning of their students. The study of this theme seeks to collaborate even more with the
reflection on indiscipline and its problems.
