Résumé:
The main objective of the work is to evaluate the use the Ground Humidity Model
for Agricutural Activities (MUSAG) in the determination of the humidity of ground, assisted
for a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in the creation of a georefereciados data base
and in the generation of thematic maps, as form to indicate the best date of plantation of the
maize and beans, in the semi-arid region.
The study area, with approximately 981.20 Km2 , situated in the Microregion of the
Cariris Velhos Paraibano, cover completely or partial the municipalities Amparo, Sume.
Prata, Monteiro and Ouro Velho. The result reached in this work allows to use the SIG as a
tool important to store, to recoup and to analyze maps in a computational environment,
where it can be included different types of geographic data superranks under digital form,
for the analysis and mapping of the humidity of the ground of the study area assisting the
borrowers of decision to plan the time of sowing of the subsistence cultures.
A direct consequence of the resulted cited is in the fact of that the city halls of the
cities of Amparo e Prata already had requested the implantation of this system, as aid in the
definition of the best time of plantation of the maize and beans and with base in these data to
elaborate the politics of distribution of the seeds for the small agriculturists.
