Resumo:
This is an exploratory research, of a descriptive nature and with a quantitative approach, developed with the students of the fifth period, of the Technology Course in Public Management, Federal University of Campina Grande, Campus of Sumé, State of Paraíba. The objective of the present research was to show the need to discuss strategies in the classroom for sustainable development to be promoted. Through the present research it can be verified that the projects focused on the promotion of sustainable development should not only be limited to the regional and social context. For these processes to succeed, it is necessary for a long time to be committed to the permanence of the solutions mobilized. This is because the objective of sustainability does not only concern the preservation of natural resources. It also takes into account the triggering of historical processes resulting from this preservation and shows the need for the evolution of technological alternatives that allow such preservation to take place. Although the data collected demonstrate that all the interviewees know what sustainable development is, through a complete analysis of the data, it can be concluded that what the knowledge of the students interviewed is still unsatisfactory in relation to what is sustainable
development and what strategies for your promotion.
