Abstract:
This study presents some considerations about the racial profiling issue:
implications for the teaching and black child's learning process and aimed to
investigate the consequences of racial prejudice in teaching and student
learning process and identify procedures used by teachers to working racial
prejudice in the classroom, in order to mitigate the damage suffered by the
victims of this practice. However, to achieve our goal, a field survey using a
semi-structured questionnaire was conducted. However, to understand how
complex the issue of racism in Brazil, since the same can be seen on social
inequalities, corroborating the question raised noticed that by the black
occupies mostly the bottom of the social structure of the country. Therefore, also
analyzed the emergence of Law No. 639/2003 10, which can be understood as
a way to demystify the negative image released against the black population.
That said took into account also the existing racial prejudice in schools, which
for the most part, reproduces prejudice. It also addresses the role of teacher to
work this issue of racial diversity in the classroom to help dispel the negative
image that was created on the black, emphasizing the qualities of each racial
group, so that black students can be proud of their race. We realize that when a
child is the victim of racial prejudice entails some problems of social interaction,
and consequently influences the development process of their learning.
