Résumé:
This monographic study aims to analyze the formation, ethics and teaching practice in the
early years of elementary school, a public school in the city of Cajazeiras - PB. Today this
issue has been considered purposes of study, debate and reflection about the training process,
the principles and ethical values in the exercise of the teaching profession. It also highlights,
my interest in the topic because they considered it relevant to my teacher training and
educational practice, and the possibility of personal and professional growth. A literature
search was conducted, from the contributions of the following authors: Nóvoa (2002), Rivers
(2003), Perrenoud (2000), Cortella (2013), Goergen (2005), Imbernon (2006), Ribeiro (2003)
among others. This discussion seeks to clarify and reflect some questions: What training
concepts? What is the Faculty of Education's contribution in their training? What are the
principles and ethical values needed in the teaching profession? Was used as a methodological
procedure a qualitative research, trying to understand and interpret the data from the speeches
of teachers, applied to five teachers, it was used in data collection A semi-structured
interview, consisting of ten questions related to the topic. The results obtained during the
investigation highlight the importance of teacher education and ethics as necessary elements
for professional development. The study indicates that teachers need to expand their view of
ethics by understanding it as compliance with rules, but also highlight the importance of
ethical principles in training in educational practices.
