Résumé:
The pupose of this work is to compare the performance of the basic Jacobi and
Gauss-Seidel iterative methods, Successive over-relaxation, Chebyshev non-adaptative and
adaptative convergence acceleration methods, the conjugate gradient and accelerated conjugate
gradient methods for solution of systems of linear equations.
Provided applicability conditions for iterative methods are satisfyed, practical criteria
to decide under wlich conditions acceleration methods should be used instead basic iteration
methods are sought.
