Resumen:
At the moment when the state of Ceara experienced this greater drought
of the century, in the context of an agricultural restructuring,
who did not present themselves as the so-called
flagellated This paper studies the historical constitution of the
Flagellation in the Semi-arid Cearense, in the absence of the
of lands, driven by the Collective Work of the Assentados.
The conquest of the new, the collective resistance winning challenges in the
context of capitalist development in Ceara, had its apogee in the
that the drought was more acute at the same time as the
Settlers increased their resistance to flagellation. Using
indicators proposed by the Rural Workers' Movement without
Land, it was observed that the Vitoria Settlement was presented as
Cooperativa de Produção Agropecuária - CPA, being the
resistance motivated by the cooperative work of the Settlers. Such
nature does not present the Assied as a petty bourgeois
the organization of the Settlement as in
continuum for self-management.
The study concluded that the Settlers did not depart from the
they left to sell their labor force, by the union of the nature of
the agro-ecological nature of the conquered lands, leading to
account of the particularities of the semi-arid region. This non-flagellation is
still a reason for scourging because it is not the Autarchic Settlement, showing that a Reality of Agrarian Reform is not experienced - reason still that it makes the Settlement with elements of a CPA not fully collective, as well as that the poverty-wealth and surplus opposition, beyond of flagellation, drought and
hunger.
