Nas margens da resistência: uma análise dos impactos causados pela construção da barragem de Sobradinho/BA na vida das famílias beraderas da comunidade de Brejo de Fora.

Abstract

The present study aims to analyze the changes brought about by the construction of the Sobradinho Dam in the life of the beraderas families affected by it. These were transferred to communities near the edges of the immense lake that formed. In spite of reflecting on a broad set of transformations, our analysis depends, in particular, on the process of productive specialization of the above families onion crops. We consider that this process has substantially modified their ways of life, that is, the relationship with time, the dynamics of work and their ties to the environment. To achieve this goal, we mobilize data collection techniques related to qualitative research, such as: semi-structured interviews; documentary analysis; field observation. In order to carry out the observations, we defined the Community of Brejo de Fora as an empirical cut. In addition to small periods of permanent stay in the community, we follow the work of the small producers on the edges of Lake Sobradinho during the productive cycle of the onion. So, for four months we moved to these areas of production. The gain of data obtained from the mobilization of the mentioned techniques of research were articulated with some theoretical discussions presented throughout the three chapters that constitute the text.
