Resumo:
This study aims to understand who these women in the core studies of country woman
(NEMS) and what kind of feminism they practiced, and analyzing its operations inside and
outside the university in the period 1990. Therefore, we will have a analysis in the collection
of the Country Women studies Center (NEMS) of the Federal University of Paraiba during
the 1990s, which houses all projects and rapporteurs of the activities and research carried out
on it. Women's study centers are studies and research groups set up in privileged spaces for
information exchange and discursões about the problems of women. The NEMS was a
production and female work space, where women participants of this core sought by feminism
build possibilities for study and understanding of Hinterland's wife, also developing social
projects that would enable the entry of feminist dialogue in cajazeiras community. As a
theoretical framework, we use the ideas of feminism proposed by Lourdes Flag and Hildete
Melo Pereira and in the context of gender in the Northeast discussion we will work with
Durval Muniz de Albuquerque Junior.
