Abstract:
The work entitled by: Utterabilities and Visibilities about the racial ethnic relations through the
conception of the high school students of the State School Prof. Crispim Coelho about the
African-Brazilian History - Cajazeiras - PB, aims to examine how this theme is understood by
the students, or the students envision about racial ethnic relations based on the teaching of
history. Our starting point is that the public is being built as a subject critical to act on society
and in it, according to the curriculum frameworks. However, we realize that there are many
gaps in that relation. Therefore, the research has bothered to analyze the curriculum documents,
the stage of the discussions on racial ethnic relations and the Law 10.639 / 03, the PCNs, the
PPP and the Ethnic Racial Issues relating to Teacher Education. Also, we take care to
understand the concept of difference and prejudice focusing what the students think about these
topics. The methodology chosen for such discussions was based on collaborative research, that
at one time allowing access to information and interviewees also allows the mediation and the
exchange of knowledge, we chose then, in addition to interviews conducting workshops. Thus,
the problems found in the survey helped to identify the students’ conception, in view of the
racial ethnic aspect in their different looks, making it possible to realize the gap between the
knowledge given by the curriculum and the guidelines, with regard to the teaching of history,
knowledge appropriate for students in the school environment.
