Resumen:
The present work had as main focus to discuss aspects about the teaching of measures of
centrality, content that is inserted within statistics, which is a branch of mathematics that uses
data collection as a method for research results. Our main objective was to contribute to the
teaching of learning of centrality measures, using as a tool the use of data collected in the
students' daily lives. The methodology used for the development of the research and to arouse
students' interest in the content was the collection of data carried out by themselves in their
daily life. For this purpose a questionnaire was initially applied in order to collect personal
data to be used in the introduction of the content. Soon after, other activities were realized
that served as support for the development of the work. Finally, the students were evaluated
through issues withdrawn from the last ENEM tests, because we perceived that questions are
generally asked about the content in such tests, were also evaluated through a questionnaire in
order to identify the positives and negatives in relation to the development of the research,
with the result we perceive the importance of working with situations that involves the reality
of those involved in order to achieve a teaching learning with a greater meaning for life.
