Abstract:
This course conclusion work provides a discussion about the use of new technologies in
teaching practice and its influence on the student learning. Knowing the importance of
technology and how they can be valuable tools in the teaching / learning process, it sought
from the observations in locus to analyze the use of new technologies and their contributions
to the geography of elementary school at Jovelina Gomes School, Uiraúna-PB. Thus, the
interest first arose from the supervised Stage I, II and III from 2013 to 2014 where he had the
notions of the problem in question (the use of new technologies by teachers) to promote the
need for information about the subject. To obtain information on this research were carried
out observations and the use of questionnaires with three teachers and 103 elementary school
students in order to know how teachers use technology in the classroom and how students
conceive it in the construction of knowledge. Analyzing the data we realize that teachers
recognize the use of technology, but in practice they face difficulties on using it which is not
being exploited to its full potential. Therefore, this work reflected on the use of new
technologies and the potential there is on the construction of knowledge. Thus, this work is
really important for future teaching professionals as it brings a series of information related to
pedagogical practice, the difficulties and possibilities for an ethical stance towards society.
