Résumé:
The present article deals with the use of a selected learning object, entitled "Measuring
objects through the similarity of triangles", in a “Country School” of Sumé- PB. This material
allows multimedia interactions, and can contain videos, images and sounds, in a static and / or
animated way, interconnected to the interaction with the manipulator. The theme to be worked
in the classroom was "similarity of triangles", so we seek to select a learning object in
repositories of objects more known on the web. With this object of learning we can work and
instigate curiosity, demonstrate differentiated situations where we use the same mathematical
knowledge, promote critical observations by visual analysis, construct mathematical
knowledge on how to measure heights of objects by similarity of triangles, and diffuse the use
of objects of learning as a satisfactory method in approaching school contents. We used four
steps in our methodology: in the first, we verified that the students do not hold the knowledge
about similarity of triangles; in the second, we briefly discuss the relation Tales theorem and
the similarity of triangles; in the third part, we use the learning object in the classroom,
mediating student actions when manipulating the learning object in computers, also using
other external materials such as calculator and paper; in the fourth and last part, we used a
written questionnaire to observe the development of the content studied through the learning
object.
