Classes hospitalares: espaço de construção da cidadania.

Abstract

The present research has as general objective to investigate in the public health network of the cities that make up the Piancó Valley and the capital João Pessoa PB, the affirmation or not of the citizenship in what concerns the pedagogic attendance through Hospital Class. With the specific objectives of, listing the laws that govern the obligation of educational service in hospital contexts; to show the differential of the pedagogue's performance in the care in Hospital Class and finally, to map the hospital units of Vale do Piancó and the city of João Pessoa PB, ascertaining the existence or not of Hospital Class. The knowledge derived from this research will be relevant for the population of the cities surveyed to enjoy their rights as citizens, guaranteeing the exercise of citizenship in this region. The methodology adopted is based on bibliographical research on the subject, with a qualitative approach and descriptive analysis of field research. Through the bibliographic survey carried out in this study, we highlight the difficulties faced by families of children and adolescents who spend time hospitalized most of the time without any type of pedagogical activity during the time of hospitalization. In which, innumerable public policies theoretically guarantee the exercise of citizenship, but in practice presents deficiency and urgency of implementation of educational action through Hospital Class.
