Resumo:
This article aims to show the results of a study carried out with high school students of the Bartolomeu Maracajá State School of Elementary and Secondary Education, located in the municipality of São José dos Cordeiros - PB, developed from May to December 2016. In this This article discusses the importance of using experimentation with low cost materials to demonstrate physical phenomena present in students' daily lives. Our article was prepared in conjunction with the Federal University of Campina Grande - UFCG, through the Center for the Development of the Semiarid - CDSA, located in the city of Sumé - PB. The work was carried out in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades of high school. In order to assist the students in the elaboration and / or reproduction of the experiments, we constructed scripts describing the material used, the construction and explanation of each activity. We elaborate a total of 10 (ten) different itineraries per bimestre for each class. These scripts addressed content that was being or had already been studied by each of the classes. In order to diagnose students' opinions about the project, (subjects most affected in this process) and to evaluate the contribution of these experiments in their learning, we conducted a quantitative bias research. As a result, we verified that this teaching methodology was well accepted by the students, who positively evaluated the use of experimentation with low cost materials and were enthusiastic about their productions.
