The purpose of this study was to analyze whether the Interactive Mathematics Groups provide meaningful learning for students of Basic Education with volunteers. For this purpose, practical classes and questionnaires were used. In the course of the research, we focus on studies that already exist Rodriguês (2010), Nascimento (2015), among others, that highlight the importances of this educational practice as being quite relevant, because it allows the students of Basic Education the possibility of developing skills that help them in the to awaken the interest for the solidary spirit of the students, making learning to be consolidated in a faster and meaningful way in the process of teaching mathematical content learning. For the present study, volunteers, the mathematics teacher and students of a public school in the city of Livramento, Paraíba, were surveyed. It is a random sample, for convenience, composed of 29 people, including 8 volunteers, the class teacher and 20 students. For the present research, three questionnaires was used. These instruments were composed of 8 questions that deal with the importance of groups for the training of students. The analysis of the results of these questionnaires showed that the Interactive Mathematics Groups play an important role in the teaching / learning of mathematics, because of the 29 interviewees, 75% thought that they are important for the formation of the student. And of the 20 students surveyed, 80% said that they provided them with a faster and more efficient learning of content. The data collected reinfoce the need for policies aimed at training teachers for this purpose.
