This work had as objective to analyze the impacts due to the increase of the mean sea level in the main cities of Nordeste namely, João Pessoa, Recife and Maceió, following the estimates of the reports of the IPCC that forecast a rise of the 59 cm in the level of the ocean ones of about 59 centimeter until the end of XXI Century. These estimates, was used together with data of altimetry turned availiable by the city halls of these related cities and worked in many geoprocessing software to draw the level curves showing the altitude where the sea reaches. From this, it was calculated environmental and financial impacts generated by this rise, therefore, a time that the consequences of such phenomena already exert influence in the daily life of the people who inhabit these
localities. The results show with clarity the new areas covered for the sea computed for João Pessoa, Recife and Maceió corresponding to a loss of the area round the 2.510.650 m ², 11.017.849 m ² and 12.239.105 m ², respectively, involving streets, avenues and buildings. In terms of the environmental damages, the three cities possess in its urban perimeter areas of coastal vegetation, being these inhabited by a great number of marine animals and vegetation.
