Abstract

Today, the world lives in the era of fast and efficient decision-making, thus requiring competent strategic management from organizations, which can be achieved by appropriately managing the information that can be acquired through Information Management and its tools such as Systems And Information Technology. Within this scenario, the main topic of this work was the Information Management aiming to achieve a better control of the data of students and teachers who are part of the Academic Unit of Production Engineering (UAEP), thus helping in the organization of the information stored there. This objective was defined due to the evident need of a Database System in the UAEP that was responsible for the entire process of registration and registration management. For that, a bibliographic study was carried out on Information Management, its tools and Database, through books, articles and websites. The tool developed during the course of the study will contribute to the quality of services provided to teachers and students of the course of Production Engineering. The Academic Unit Registration System - SISCAD UAEP, through Microsoft's MS Access 2013 software, allows the user to enter all the data of the students in the process of registration and enrollment, as well as data of teachers and disciplines and generates reports and On the information that can be obtained.
