The intrinsic quality of an organization's products and services is the premise for them to remain competitive in the marketplace. It is necessary that the products and services marketed have not only the quality demanded by the customers, but also a minimum cost for the organizations. With each passing day the dissemination of tools and methods for quality management is more driven, one of these tools is the FMEA, which is used in an objective way to identify potential risks in the product, process or service. The objective of the present work is to use the Failure Modes and Effects (FMEA) tool with a proactive approach using the Area Graph to analyze and interpret risks in the macroprocess of a food factory in the interior of Pernambuco, Which is part of the food service sector, proposing a plan of action with the most effective and feasible solutions to possible risks
