Abstract:
This article presents the analysis of the operation of the Irineu Severo Municipal School in the municipality of Sumé. With this approach we take the interpretation of article 14 of the Law of Guidelines and Bases of Education, we propose to understand how democratic management is organized. The historical emergence of what is meant by democratic management and the interpretation of the Brazilian Federal Constitution regarding democratic opening in the 1980s, with this introduction we begin to expose the autonomy of the subject and social institutions within the school space as well as the Public service provided in this school unit. We have here concluded the analysis of what is understood as democratic and republican, taking into account the responsibility of both agents in various spheres, for this the councils such as the Association of Parents and teachers and the School Council as a body with four Specific functions that aim to guide and direct deliberate actions together for the common good, finally our considerations lead to the understanding of who with these spheres of action, the school has a democratic performance, limited certainly by higher spheres with regard to Certain prefixed referrals, however, the decisions taken collectively expose in a comprehensive way the power that democracy accomplishes even in small spheres.
