Resumo:
This study had as main objectives to produce the daily and weekly climatology of the pluvial precipitation in Paraíba and to investigate possible influences of the phase of the moon in the rains of the State. It was esteemed the periods for seven, thirty and a, ninety and an and hundred and twenty-one rainier consecutive days of the year, as well as of their frequencies. The daily data of precipitation, for the period from 1950 to 2004, are available in the Atmospheric Sciences Department (UACA) of the UFCG. The results showed that the total climatological of the diary precipitation presents a great interday variability. It was not observed any tendencies of the largest daily total of rain to happen in a certain day of the year. The week of the largest climatological totals of the year also presents interweek variability. However it tends to happen from March 15 to April 15 for the areas of the sertão and cariri, and of the end of May to July, in the agreste, forest zone, and coast. The responsible systems for the production of the largest weekly totals of rain and for the week of the year frequently rainier they are ZCIT and cyclonic vortexes of the high troposphere, in the cariri and sertão. And east wave, in the coast, agreste and forest zone. It was also observed that the beginning (sooner or later) of the rainy station doesn't have relationship with the quality (it dries or humid) of the station, because, they happened dry years with the beginning of the rainy station sooner or later, and rainy years with the beginning of the rainy station sooner or later. However, it was observed that the period that is going from one day after the waning moon to the day of the crescent (centered in the new moon) it is a little rainier than the period that is going of one day after the growing moon until the day of the waning (it centers in the full moon), however this difference is not significant.
