Resumo:
This work presents a sociological approach to political-family control in the directories of political parties in Paraíba State. In order to do this, it was chosen only five parties that control the largest number of city halls nationally, and therefore five parties that control the largest number of city halls in the State. The research sought to relate parties and political-family control. The kinship relation as one of the keys to understand the parties‘ control in the State. In this sense, the research is organized having as scope a general discussion about the subject matter and, after that, the analysis of the directories in terms of composition. It is a descriptive research using a quantitative approach and the resource of obtaining documentary research data through secondary data that aims primarily to identify the agents that act in control of the main parties in the State, through the composition in the directories, observing the agents‘ first names and last names that act in the direction.
