Resumo:
This work aims to analyze the teaching of Sociology in high school, the methods and didactics used by the professors and the impact that it produces in the students' learning, that is, an analysis on the ways of teaching and the meanings of learning, based on the concept of sociological imagination and the construction of autonomy. For data collection it was used the technique of interviews for the professors and the focus group for the students, as data analysis we resort to the method of discourse analysis whose roots lie in the qualitative field. As a result of the research it can be seen that the challenge for the learner's learning is in the way the professor relates to the school subject, with the students, if he/she understands the role/nature of Sociology, and also understands that the educational practice should be performed as an open dialogical movement to the various didactic and methodological possibilities that can develop autonomy and reflection in young people’s lives.
