Resumen:
With the theme of ergonomics in rural workers, the objective of this study was to highlight the ergonomic risks in the labor activity of rural workers. The secondary objectives comprise the description and classification of the risks arising from the poor ergonomic development of the labor process. The bibliography considers agriculture as one of the labor areas where the worker is more likely to face high-risk ergonomic problems due to activities that require large physical exertion, repetitive movements and rigid posture. These activities are not always carried out in a safe and adequate way to the health of the worker, which culminates in several diseases and injuries arising from this process. Thus, the application of ergonomics would improve and adapt the performance in the activities, providing a safe working environment and better quality of life, since it would reduce the probability of diseases and injuries. From this perspective, we consider the need for further research in this context for greater emphasis on this working class.
