Resumo:
This paper presents the results of an ethnobiographic study of one of the representatives of the popular culture of the Alto Alegre neighborhood, Cosme Nunes. Based on his speech and other residents, the main objective of the research is to think about and interpret its importance to bring to light the memory of the festivities of the past. The research is characterized as ethnographic, with foundations of shared visual anthropology to obtain the results. The imaging resources make it possible to document with photographs, filming and audio recording, reports that could contribute to obtaining the results. Thus, it is important to include audiovisual resources as a form of approximation and documentation. In order to propagate and encourage subsequent generations to have that imagery document as a way of exalting the culture of the neighborhood. Through the research it was possible to achieve some results such as: understanding the memory of local popular culture in a peripheral neighborhood of a small-scale city such as Sumé and its influences on local dynamics.
