Violência contra mulher em Serra Branca: um estudo geracional.

Abstract

Violence against women is a worrying phenomenon occurring at high rates in Brazil, as well as in the region of Cariri Paraibano. Daily reports of violence and feminicide are increasingly reported, which makes us reflect on why Brazil is a country with so much violence against women. Thus, this work sought to unveil, through a generational research, that made use of interviews with women of three generations (grandmother, mother and granddaughter) of the same family as is the thought about violence against women, verifying if there is whether there is interference in the thinking of each generation, or whether the education received by the grandmother and passed on to the mother and granddaughter prevail. It is a work that conceptually exposes the various forms of violence against women, as well as data on the types of violence and how they occur, as well as searching through the interviewees for the understanding of women, that is, if they recognize violence against women , what types and how they occur. The data indicated that the phenomenon of violence against women is intrinsically linked to the patriarchal model of education in force in Brazil, where women are in a relationship of domination and submission to men.
