Abstract:
This assignment deals of the strategies used in the evaluation process in a State School of Cariri Paraibano and had as general objective: to understand how occur the assessment process, through of teachers of the High School of one State School of Cariri Paraibano. For the development and implementation of assignment were made bibliographic researches and field research. From the research bibliography has been worked evaluation in the theoretical perspective, the design of various theorists, among them Tyler, Cronbach, Alpha, Scriven, Libâneo that compose the theoretical framework that was divided into two sections, the first refers to the evaluation in the theoretical perspective and the second section deals with the evaluative process in high school.The field research was realized out with four teachers of the State School. We realized a qualitative research and exploratory research according to Gil (2008). The data were collected from semi-structured interview. The results were divided into three stages, In which have academic formation of the teachers and the place of the evaluation in formation; The meaning and purpose of the evaluation for teachers and strategies/instruments used in the evaluation process. The first block presents the profile of formation teachers and the place of the evaluation in training, where the data pointed out that during the training teachers not coursed disciplines about the evaluation; the second deals of the understanding of the teachers about the purpose and the meaning of the evaluation, in which the teachers present in their speeches that the purpose of the evaluation is not only collect qualitative data, but some teachers have distorted meanings of the real meaning of the evaluation; the third block presents strategies that teachers use in the evaluation process, as well as the difficulties and the facilities of the strategies/instruments/methods that use the data indicated that teachers use various and different strategies/instruments/methods for the realization of these proceedings, so may evaluate several skills in students
