This work is a study on the practice of children's literature in the classroom and taste of students on reading, starting with some analysis conducted in two schools in the state system of education, the city of Cajazeiras, as well as students of 1st and 2nd years of elementary school, Schools and Vocational cancellations Boto Mount Caramel. For these tests we chose the case study, and to collect data, use the observation, made while records from the observation, combined with other procedures such as analysis of the questionnaire directed at teachers and managers of schools and an "interactive interview", Which was performed with that in educating as the main objective research and understand the practice of child literature in the classroom and educating the taste of reading. The study shows that schools analyzed, they are not very far away from methodological practice literary theorists suggest that, because this work it is a considerable time to review this practice in the classroom. As the methodology developed was reported differently to work on reading and writing, and were cited variety of literary genres, both in the classroom as well as at libraries, which the body is composed of children and juvenile literature. The teachers when positioned on the importance of literature in the classroom seemed to be fully agree that literature is far too important in teaching learning process.
