Resumen:
Considering that Phonetics and Fhonology are curricular components of great value to eduational development, we seek in this paper shoe how they are worked in the classroom, from what is brought in textbooks adopted by primary schools in the municipality Sousa - PB, more specifically, the textbooks in the 6th grade of elementary school, taking into account the approach to the subject and the degree of importance that is give to the subject by those textbooks. We seek also conceptualize the terms: Phonetics and phonology making a comparison between what is said in textbooks and linguistics textebooks henceforth DLs, looking to see which approach between the concepts presentedby them. We show here, as the words emerged - Phonetics and Phonology and evolution of this science in Portuguese from Brazil. We also bring a brief suabout thesubject, in what form and when it can be worked in the School. Trehe fore, we use as theoretical to some authors, researchers and scholars of phonetics and phonology and linguistics, amongthem Cristofaro Thais Silva (1999), Roman Jakobson (1972), Rosa Virginea Mattos Silva (1996), Darcilia Simoes (2006) between and other textbooks as a source of analysis on the research study. We seek from it, observe the development of the subject to be searched in LDs and from then throw some proposals that might fit or apply for a better development of the teaching of Phonetics and Phonology in Portuguese language classes in the 6t h grade of elementary school ruey of what is said in the National Curriculum Parameters (PCN's).
