Resumen:
This work has as study focus the speech genre chronic. The motivation for this research appeared along experiences with high school students from public schools, across projects scientific initiation university, in this case, the Federal University of the Campina Grande - Campus Cajazeiras. In these experiences we observe the need i f to work the speech genres as teaching tools in Portuguese Language classes. We found that teaching methods should privilege the dialogic and social aspect of language, because that way the student has the opportunity to understand their language as discourse and not as a rigid system of forms. For this reason, choosing of the genre as a means for development the skills of the students is considered a essential step. However, for this process to take effect, the study of speech genres should be fiindamented on a perspective that allows us to understand these entities as modes of discourse organization, regulators and, at the same time, transformers the relations between the individuals in various moments of verbal interaction/discursive. Thus, for this process of understanding and production of genres occurs mode of resignified with students, another essential step to be realized we highlight. This, concerns the selection criteria that the teacher must make in order to work with genres in the classroom. These reflections lead us to suggest that teachers should especially reflect on the criteria that best meet the needs of their students, because each context, there is a specificity necessarily to be developed. In this work, to the launch our look at the chronic genre, we are reflecting an opportunity of the teacher develop a significant activity with students, because we believe that a well thought out work, utilizing the chronic as teaching object, can greatly contribute to the process of interaction/social insertion of students. Beyond these considerations, we discuss the characteristics motivators discursive for construction of the genre, from the propulsors social ambients of their formation and diffusion, in this case, of the sphere of journalism and literature. Finally, we present an analysis of the genre from of chronicles collected of a newspaper. Through this analysis, we seek to understand and describe the constituent elements of genre, according to Bakhtinian theory. All discussions presented have theoretical support in dialogical perspective of Bakhtin (2010 [1953]).
