Abstract:
This study aims to accomplish a theoretical discussing about the function and the relevance attributed to the revision and rewriting in the process of production of texts. It has been accomplished a bibliographical researche by considering books, specialized magazines, scientific articles, academic works, besides sites and the Parametros Curriculares Nacionais (PCN 1998, 2001 e 2002). It is importante to highlight that this discussion is based on two main pillars: a) the presentation and the discussion of the Brazilian and foreign authors' thoughts about the subject; and b) a short analysis about the presence of the revision and rewriting in the PCN. So, the theoretical basis is related, for instance, to Bakhtin (2003 and 2006) and his dialogic vision of the language, Kato (2005), Serafini (1998) and Calkins (1989) , that consider the writing as a process (in stages); Antunes (2003, 2005, 2006 and 2009), Marcuschi (2008a and 2008b), Koch and Elias (2011) and Ruiz (2001), that contemplate the notion of interaction as being an important relationship of the writing process, among others. It has been possible to contemplate about the writing and its constitution, the way as it has been understood by school, its importance for the society and the several manners which the specialists have been conceiving it. Inside of the studies that refer to such conceptions, the addressed validity has been verified, by the several authors, for the tendencies that take the writing as a process characterized by stages, especially those that see this process by considering the interaction. It has been noticed, still, that revision and rewriting have been characterized as being stages in that, respectively, the text is observed and rewritten considering the inadequate topics and the PCN present and it point out the importance of the revision and of the rewriting for the production of a text. Besides, it has been stood out the fact that several specialists see the revision and the rewriting as sources of opportunities for the learner/writer reflect during the writing of her/his text, as well as they focus the teacher and the classmates as members who are able to contribute for the revision and rewriting. This results have showed that it is possible to understand as evident the fact that the ones that make up the school, constantly, should have knowledge about theoretical and practical researches that have been proved the positive significance and immense relevance of the revision and rewriting for the textual production, especially in the writing teaching context.
