Resumo:
This monograph deals with Environmental Education in Primary and Secondary Education developed, respectively, in the public schools Dr. Jarismar G. Meio and Mauro Sampaio in the cities of Ipaumirim and Barro, in the state of Ceará, in the state and federal sphere, in the period of 2004 to The purpose of this research is to study and compare the type of work carried out in the area of Environmental Education in the aforementioned schools of the Public Network in the cities of Ipaumirim and Barro, located corresponding to 420 Km and 463,5 Km of the capital of the State of Ceara, Fortaleza conforms (Annex I). Ipaumirim and Barro are cities that, as examples of others of small industrial and economic size, present several environmental problems and do not observe almost any socio - educational mobilization with the intention of trying to solve them, because in the informal conversation with Directors, Teachers of the schools and people of the local communities, we observe that Environmental Education is not functional. Based on this premise, we aim to characterize the activities of Environmental Education in the public schools of Ipaumirim and Barro and contribute to valorize it more intensely in Elementary and Middle Education with the creation of opportunities and proposals that express the development of new works. The study developed has the following structure: chapter I, part that portrays a history of Environmental Education with regard to the emergence and evolution of concepts and also a vision of Environmental Education in Brazilian formal education; Chapter II presents Environmental Education with concepts, objectives and principles in a theoretical-practical view, in Primary Schools Dr. Jarismar Gonçalves Meio and Mauro Sampaio of the cities of Ipaumirim and Barro; Chapter III presents a sampling of the characterization of the activities of Environmental Education developed in the schools mentioned in the period 2004 and 2005. It also shows how School-Community integration develops and records the problems and the challenge of the teachers in working Environmental Education with their classes. In this chapter, on the occasion of the visit the entities presented were asked for numeric and nominal data of the Teachers of the said Schools, in order to make a statistical survey of the same Teachers.
we present a copy of the project to the director of the mentioned establishments and a request by means of the necessary data, according (Annex II), which was positively attended accordingly (Annex III).
