Resumen:
The creation of hick chickens in Paraiba State has emerged as an important lives to ckactivity, which in turn has contributed to the power of family farmers as wellas generating employment and income. The objective of this work to make a characterization of semi-intensive production systems, bird performance and economic analysis. The study was conducted at the Federal University of Campina Grande in the Academic Unit of Development of Technology, belonging to the Semi-arid Sustainable Development Center in Sume-PB, a period of 91 days. The experiment was divided in to three phases (Pre-Start,Start and Finish), it was made the evaluation of the production performance where the chickens were weighed to determine weight gain. In this study the air temperature data was 25° C on average staying with in the thermal comfort zone for broilers, the relative humidity was 56.20%, 58.40% and 62.99 % in the experimental stages since BGT this work were obtained: 76.12; 76.02 and 76.15 respectively for each phase, where the range 74-77 characterized comfort condition. The feed in take was in creased, 0.013, 0.093kg and 0.015 respectively per phase. The research concluded that the bioclimatic conditions the birds were found in the thermal comfort zone, thus had good productive performance and activity is show in to behighly profitable once generated good profits.
