Resumo:
This paper discusses the role of music as an element of social inclusion, especially in the lives of deaf individuals. In this context, we did research on the influence of music on the lives of two deaf people, who helped us in this research through field work. This made me see how music is present in the lives of the deaf. From this we have created a question, why is there no Musical Education for the Deaf? This became the research problem that guided all our work. We also researched a little about Music Education in Brazil, about Law 11.769 / 08 that was approved since 2008 and that, in many places of the country, it is still not being performed. Another very interesting fact is that the arts NCP does not deal in depth with the problem of inclusion of the disabled, especially, hearing through music. A fact that caught my attention, but the main focus of my work was the issue of music in the lives of those people who for many do not listen to music. Thus, this work aims to change the opinion of many people who thought the deaf and the music are ways by nature excluding.
