This research aims to recognize and promote the importance of reading in multiple benefits for social coexistence, to emphasize your importance and revealing a great concern for contemporary society. With the advent of new technologies, lack of taste for reading becomes a problem that needs to be debated and taken forward, so that possible solutions may be released in order to remedy or mitigate the inferiorization of several text genres and, in specific the literary text, among them, the cordel booklets, a merely instrumental perspective that disregards the possibility of reading as something good and pleasurable to the learner. On this issue, there is the building of bridges between the cordel literature and new technologies, so close of students. The experiment aimed to promote dialogue between readers and technology practices, from intervention in two groups of the same series, from different schools, applying the same content. In the control group, were made only notes to look at variants of engagement, participation and etc. In the study group, we promote reading moments of twine, readings and discussions about social problems that could be solved from actions in line with the technologies and the reading of the string. Performed these actions with leaflets and the serious game, compared the practice to a group and another came, revealing that the study group that participated in the actions of reading and technological experiences of serious games, demonstrated an awakening to issues social, triggering an interest by the cordel literature.
