Resumen:
It aims to demonstrate how reverse logistics contributes to the tire retreading process in an auto parts company in the municipality of Sumé -PB. A bibliographical review was made to know some concepts for the understanding of the theme and study of the reverse logistics for reuse of tires. The accomplishment of this research was developed through a case study. Interviews and on-site visits were also made at the Auto Parts Sumé, a company under study, to get to know the structure and carry out the information collection. The company "Auto parts Pé de Serra" is responsible for collecting the tires of its customers and for the sale after they are recapados. The research consisted of analyzing the reverse logistics in the tire reuse process, aiming to show the contributions of the reverse logistics to the company "Auto parts Pé de Serra" and the benefits of sustainable actions. Finally the study was successfully completed presenting the financial gains of tire re-tire for the organization. After this research, it is recommended that tires that are not fit to enter the picking process have the proper disposal by the company, respecting environmental standards.
