Abstract:
This paper discusses the partnership between the family and the school for the full development of the student as well, shows the various factors that contribute to the gap between the family and the school. This research questioned whether the absence of the family is primarily responsible for the poor academic performance of students. This monograph aims to analyze strategies developed by a municipal school in Pit José de Moura regarding the partnership between family and school, trying to reflect on the importance of family involvement for the development of the student. From this guiding principle, the main ideas of different authors and researchers of the subject will be presented, in order to contribute to better understanding of the topic, favoring a reflection based on the possibilities of improving the quality of education. The methodology of this research was a literature search and a field survey. The research subjects were 02 teachers and 01 supervisor. The data obtained in this research showed that the school needs to develop strategies to improve and motivate family participation demonstrating their contribution to civic education. This work came to reiterate that both the family and the school must recognize its role in the act of teaching and the school needs the support of family and the family needs that the school contributes in the formation of children and youth, so that the void that established in family homes by lack monitoring and participation in educational routine of the children, is met through commitment, appreciation and mutual love.
