Resumo:
The development of products and the elaboration of corporate games are currently trends and have begun to be adopted as a form of new methodologies in the education al sphere, because with the great demand of the market over the last centuries, it's necessary that more and more professionals have knowledge beyond the theory, dominating its application. This new adopted system, brings this analogy of theory to practice. In the case of education in Production Engineering, adopting this methodology enabled the development of a new tool that brought many contributions to the students. The layout simulator is a tool that enables students of Production Engineering course, the experience of practical classes in prototype scale and laboratory. The game allows the demonstration of the types of layout, study of the flows through the spaghetti diagram, thus providing a better absorption and practical visualization of the contents. The methodology used for the development of this work is of a basic nature, whose research approach classifies as qualitative. In order to achieve the general objective, the exploratory research was used with the application of a questionnaire and, finally, the technical procedures adopted, were: bibliographic research, field research and case study. As a result, it can be affirmed that the development of the new product is considered of great usefulness and contribution to the education in Production Engineering.
