Resumo:
The Brazilian economy finds itself in an unstable way, it oscillates rapidly, and that is why industries must adapt to changes, regardless of how, and for that, they wage a daily struggle for a market share. looking relentlessly to meet requirements through new management methods that provide greater quality, customer satisfaction and improved financial results. In the city of Campina Grande - PB, five companies that produce deaf biscuits are installed, the company that is the object of this study is one of them, which has been in the market for 20 years, and is constantly looking for a slice of this market. From this, this study aimed at the application of Lean Manufacturing, to reduce losses in the productive process of the deaf wafer. When applying the methodological procedures, it was possible to identify the existing losses and an imbalance of the activities pertinent to the process under study, this was possible through the Value Stream Map (VFM). A balance was proposed and through it, 1 operator was reduced in the execution of the activities. In relation to the processing time a reduction of 65% was obtained, by reducing the cycle time of the bottleneck activity, and the waiting time of the product. From the proposed solutions it will be possible to minimize costs, increase the quality of process performance, and consequently maximize profits.
